Commodore Felix Apolinario, a prominent figure in Philippine history, is celebrated not only for his distinguished military service but also for his entrepreneurial achievements. Born on May 2, 1918, in Santa Cruz, Manila, he displayed an early commitment to excellence, earning the nickname "verbatim" during his senior year for his meticulous and studious nature.
1941–1945: During World War II, he served in ground support and beach defense in Bataan. He was captured and imprisoned as a prisoner of war.
August 1942: He was released as a sick prisoner of war and later reported back to military control.
1945: After the war, he played a key role in rebuilding the Offshore Patrol, which eventually became the Philippine Navy.
1965: He was appointed as the Flag Officer in Command of the Philippine Navy, highlighting his leadership and contributions to national defense.
June 1966: He retired from military service, leaving a remarkable legacy in the Philippine Navy.
